Romans will recognize Mayor William Valentine and several councilors with mates. The dome may be a giveaway. Oh, by the way, the gent in from is host Congressman A. Pirnie!
If you?ve never been to Washington,D.C. and get the chance, I recommend you visit. Cherry blossom time would be great but any time you get to see the great architecture is swell. Honeymoon was best.
I?ll list these names later on. Hopefully they will be spelled correctly, unlike Dr. Ostrowski the other week. I proofread my tales several times before they to the office to guarantee accuracy. I suppose readers expect goofs in today?s hurry up newsprint. Ours is free!
I am amazed at how well photos come out and color is great. I haven?t seen last week?s yet and they were over 100 years old so I don?t know what to expect. I?ll pick up a copy at the ?Y? tomorrow.
I may get chastised for today?s printing of the snapshot of the teenager, slightly damaged from wallet use. She?s shopping today and what she doesn?t know won?t hurt me?this week.
This time of year I watch as the daytime hours lessen, and we lose a little daylight each day. It could be depressing to a person whose favorite months are May, June and October.
Don?t get me wrong, I find a few positive things every month and I?m not really all that negative. Still, two days after my birthday in December, an event occurs which affects my overall well-being.
You guess it, ever so slightly a bit of daylight is added to our days, even though it?s hard to notice, especially under cloudy skies! The weather channel records an event I look forward to with aplomb.
A minute here, a minute there, we gain daylight time! I recall Dad saying, ?As the days begin to lengthen, the cold begins to strengthen.? Being raised on a farm, perhaps that mean more to him than to me.
My concern is when we go ?down home,? Mickey?s terminology. I like to travel in daylight hours, especially when deer are apt to be on the move. Seems like we now have as many deer as Pennsylvania. Continued...

Those hundred year old photos last week turned out well. I have one of Delta Village which we?ll show soon. It?s hard to believe an entire settlement, church, farms and all used to be where we see a lake. I suppose the dam helped keep River Street from flooding so often.
Advancing years means we visit funeral parlors more often. This week it was for Charlie, a good friend who was remembered by a large group. As I move through our house, I see plumbing on every floor that Charlie installed for a modest fee. Smooth sailing, friend.
